Hygge™ Premium Windproof Retracting Blind
A zip-guided Textilene blind that drops inside the pergola frame and stays flat in the wind. One blind per side, in the pergola’s own finish. 20% less with a pergola.
We only cross out a price we actually charged, and we never raise one so we can. Side walls are 20% less with a pergola than on their own, whether the pergola is in the basket now or was bought from us before. The price includes delivery to the UK mainland.
- Zipped into the rails. The fabric edge runs inside a channel on each post, so it cannot lift, flap or tear loose.
- Stops where you leave it. Pull it to any height, let go, it holds. No motor, nothing to charge.
- Sun out, air through. Textilene mesh cuts glare and heat but still breathes and dries fast.
Shade that stays put when the wind gets up
Most outdoor blinds hang free and flap. This one runs in a zip track inside the pergola posts, so it stays flat at any height, in any weather you would still want to sit out in.

Held at both edges
The fabric edge is welded to a zip that runs inside the side channels, so wind meets a sealed panel, not a loose edge.
Mesh, not sheet
PVC-coated polyester mesh. It blocks most glare and heat, lets air through and dries fast.
Let go and it holds
A spring-balanced roller. Pull it to where you want it and let go.
3m and 4m
One blind per side, so every side of every Hygge pergola is covered. A 6m side takes two 3m units.

Zipped into the frame, not hanging in front of it
The fabric’s edges carry a zip that runs inside a channel on each post. Wind pushes against a sealed panel instead of a loose edge, so it does not lift, flap or work loose.
- Cassette sits inside the beam line, in the frame’s charcoal
- Channels fix to the posts; nothing hangs outside the frame
- Stays flat at any height in a breeze

Any height. Let go and it holds.
A spring-balanced roller lets you pull the blind to exactly where you want it: half down against a low sun, fully down for privacy, or up out of sight in a second.
- No motor, no wiring, nothing to charge
- One hand, from inside or outside
- Rolls into its cassette when the view matters

Blocks the glare, keeps the breeze
Textilene is the PVC-coated polyester mesh used on good outdoor furniture. It cuts most direct sun and heat while air keeps moving, and it does not hold water, so it dries quickly after rain and resists mildew.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth
- Charcoal to match the frame
- Sheds most of a shower, dries fast

An outdoor room after dark
Drop the blinds on the windward sides, leave one open to the garden and bring the LED strip up. The pergola stops being a roof and becomes a room.
Six things that set it apart
Most pergola blinds are an afterthought bolted to the outside. This one was designed with the frame.

One blind per side
Pick the length of the side it goes on. Every Hygge pergola uses 3m and 4m sides; the 6m × 3m also has a 6m side, which takes two 3m units.
Windproof blind · 3m side
3m side (£500 a side): the sides of the 3m × 3m, the short sides of the 4m × 3m, and each bay of the 6m × 3m. One unit.

Mix blinds, panels and glass
Most owners put blinds on the sun and wind sides, a decorative panel where they want the view broken up but not closed, and glass where they sit. Each side takes one choice. Everything is 20% less with a pergola.

Prices are per 3m side; 4m sides cost a little more. Three panels fill a side; a blind or a glass set covers the whole side. Every side can be added today or years after delivery.
Fits in an afternoon
Two people, a step ladder and a drill. The blind hangs on brackets bolted to the beam and posts, and it retrofits to any Hygge pergola.
What the fit involves
- Brackets bolt to the beam and posts; the cassette and channels hang on them
- A step ladder, a drill and the supplied fixings
- Illustrated guide for your side length
- Retrofits to any Hygge pergola, any time
